Lemaj Raymòn was founded in 2020 out of San Francisco, California. It is one of the leading international up and coming fashion design companies and a symbol of Italian luxury world-wide. Although Lemaj Raymòn is based out of the United States, Italy is where all the designs, manufacturing, and distribution originate. We specialize in high end affordable fashion and lifestyle products including accessories, jewelry, watches, eyewear, fragrances, menswear and womenswear all bearing the distinctive black/white suited man/women logo. The LEMAJ RAYMÒN group distributes its products through a world-wide network from all shipping companies, allowing us to ship any where in the world without hassle.
Our Founder Jamel Raymòn George has been Artistic Director of Lemaj Raymòn since 2020 and has steered the brand into the future of today. Lemaj Raymòn represents its heritage through its strong and fearless designs, while addressing a new global audience which continues to strengthen Lemaj Raymòn’s position in contemporary culture as well as the soon to come fashion of the metaverse.
Jamel George always wanted to be a designer and a stylist since he was in Junior high school. He began his love for fashion by creating trends in the Bay Area. After completing his college degree he began his fashion journey with managing, styling and designing fashion sets and fashion shows. He then became a highly sought after stylist for many celebrities and worked as a designer for major award shows from the Espys to the Emmys.
Mr George made the move to LA in 2007 working as a designer for two of the worlds’ top fashion companies. It was through these experiences of learning about the world of textiles, fine fabrics and ground up creation he gained a new perspective of fashion. He decided to further his passion and education for fashion by moving to Europe. While in Europe he learned how to shop for the finest quality of fabrics, he learned the fine art of craftsmanship in creating his own jackets, pants and suits for men and women. Mr Georges’ keen eye for style, trends and fashion landed him in the luxury fashion houses in London UK. He was designated as a designer and swiftly promoted to a fabric buyer for major designer Giants.
After 12 years of successfully designing for other companies, traveling the globe to learn about fashion, trends, styles, shopping for the finest fabrics and designing for numerous global giants, Mr George decided the time has come to finally create his own brand. He aims to implement his knowledge and experiences in each uniquely carefully hand-crafted piece. We find ourselves in the unique position to honor what we have borrowed from nature and create beautiful handbags with the utmost respect for our planet and everything on it. In the process we are engaging our global communities to inspire and understand our common opportunity to make the world a better place through beauty and responsible luxury.
RAW MATERIAL SELECTION CRITERIA
Lemaj Raymòn Luxury Collection has developed a checklist for use in its careful selection of materials (exotic skins and leathers) used for production of its luxurious handbags. The following are the items we require in order to proceed with a certain raw material.
The species has to be in over-population in its natural habitat.
The species has to be used as a food source somewhere in the world.
The skins and leathers would be considered a waste product (headed for a landfill) unless passed-on to designers and artisans who create beautiful handbags and accessories with them.
Management of the species is overseen by a governing body (CITES, Fish and Wildlife Licensing, etc.) which seeks to ensure the healthy and thriving ecosystem in which the species lives.
There is no undue suffering in any form during the process of culling, fishing, or otherwise.
This list will be continuously edited and modified, as needed.
ANIMAL WELFARE – LEMAJ RAYMÒN adheres to the animal welfare principles established by the non profit organization “Business for Social Responsibility”(BSR Principles). Any Supplier providing us with animal materials shall also adhere to such principles.
In addition, LEMAJ RAYMÒN refers to the Terrestrial Animal Health Code published by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) for animal welfare standards at an international level. We expect our suppliers to fully comply with these standards and global animal laws.
SUPPLIER CODE OF CONDUCT
Lemaj Raymòn requires that all of our partners within our supply chain adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct. This ensures that we choose partners whose values and objectives align with our own.
